1Who we are
Big Bargains is a trading name of registered company name, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 00000000, with its registered office at registered address. Our shop is at shop address.
We are the data controller for the information described in this notice. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ICO reference.
2What information we collect
- Contact and delivery details — your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and any access notes you give us.
- Order information — what you bought, when, the price paid, delivery or collection arrangements, and any Care+ cover added.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers are never sent to us or stored on our systems.
- Account information — your email address and your email preferences. We do not use passwords; you sign in through a single-use link.
- Warranty and service records — the cover attached to each item you bought, and any fault you report.
- Website information — basic technical data such as your IP address, browser and the pages you viewed.
3Why we use it, and our legal basis

An account is created automatically when you place an order. We need it to hold your warranty record, and we cannot honour cover we have no record of. It carries no marketing consent with it.
4Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails if you have ticked the box asking for them. You can turn them off at any time from the email preferences page in your account, or from the unsubscribe link at the foot of every email. Turning them off does not affect any discount code already issued, and does not affect emails about an order you have placed.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
5Who we share information with
- Stripe — to take and process payments.
- Our hosting and database providers — to run the website and store order records securely.
- Our email provider — to send order emails and, where you have consented, marketing emails.
- Couriers — where an item is posted, your name, address and phone number are passed to the courier.
- Manufacturers and repairers — only where needed to deal with a fault or a Care+ claim.
- Our accountants, and HMRC — for tax and accounting purposes.
Some providers process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law.
6How long we keep it

7Cookies
We use cookies necessary for the site to work — remembering your basket and keeping you signed in. These do not need your consent. We also use analytics cookies, which are only set if you agree to them.
8Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, deleted, restricted, or to object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Some rights are limited. We cannot delete an order record we must keep for tax purposes, and deleting a warranty record would mean we could no longer honour the cover.
Contact us using the details below and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
9Changes to this notice
If we change this notice we will update the version and date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you by email.
